Parsio vs Mailparser: prices, limits and which one fits your inbox

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerMailparser is cheaper for 250 to 500 plain emails a month and offers more inboxes. Parsio is cheaper around 1,000 emails and is the only one of the two that reads scans and images.

Parsio vs Mailparser entry prices on 3 October 2026

Parsio starts at $29 a month for 100 credits and Mailparser starts at $29.95 a month for 250 emails, both on monthly billing. On annual billing the entry plans are $24 and $24.95 a month. So the starting prices are almost identical, but Mailparser's entry plan processes two and a half times as many emails.

The order flips at higher volume. Parsio's next level gives 1,000 credits for $49 a month, and a templated email costs one credit. Mailparser's steps are 500 emails for $39.95 and 2,000 emails for $99.95.

What Mailparser does that Parsio does not, and the reverse

Mailparser only: annual plans hand over the whole year's allowance on day one. A yearly Starter plan holds 3,000 emails that you can spend unevenly, which helps a seasonal business. Its FAQ adds that if the pool runs out before the year ends, a new annual plan starts automatically with a new set of credits, so watch the balance. Parsio credits renew monthly and unused ones expire. Mailparser also documents routing rules that send mixed emails from one address to the right inbox, and it lets you buy extra emails mid-cycle.

Parsio only: it reads scanned PDFs and images. Mailparser's FAQ says it handles text attachments such as PDF, DOCX, CSV and XLSX but not images or scanned documents, and points those users to its sister product Docparser. Parsio also keeps a permanent free plan, where Mailparser offers a 30-day trial.

Watch the add-ons on Mailparser's lower plans. On monthly billing its pricing page lists duplicate detection at $3.49 a month, automatic retry of failed webhooks at $3.49 a month and the ability to modify extracted data at $8.49 a month on Starter. Parsio includes post-processing on every plan.

Who should choose Mailparser and who should choose Parsio

Choose Mailparser if your work is plain, machine-generated emails at 250 to 500 a month, if you need many inboxes from the start, or if your volume swings by season and an annual pool of emails suits you.

Choose Parsio if any of your documents are scans, photos or invoices in changing layouts, if you sit near 1,000 emails a month, or if you want to run a free account indefinitely for a small job. Remember that AI pages cost three credits each on Parsio, so check the credit math on the pricing page before comparing invoice volumes. If your documents are mostly scanned PDFs, the closer comparison is Parsio vs Docparser.

What switching between Mailparser and Parsio involves

We found no import tool for the other product's rules or templates on either vendor's pages, so plan to rebuild your parsers. The work is the same in both directions.

  1. List the fields each current inbox produces, with their exact names. Use a field contract so nothing downstream breaks.
  2. Create the new inbox and rebuild the extraction: highlighted templates in Parsio, parsing rules in Mailparser.
  3. Forward a copy of live mail to the new inbox address while the old one keeps running.
  4. Compare a week of output from both, row by row.
  5. Reconnect the Google Sheets, webhook or Zapier step, then change the forwarding rule and cancel the old plan before its renewal date.

Download the parsed data you still need from the old tool before you cancel it, because you may lose access to that history afterwards. Parsio's terms say purchases are non-refundable, so time the move to the end of a billing period. Details here come from both vendors' published pages, not from hands-on use.
