Parsio vs Parseur: credit math, plan limits and who each suits

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerParsio is cheaper for templated emails and gives small plans post-processing. Parseur charges one credit per page whatever the method, which is simpler and can cost less for AI-parsed PDFs.

Parsio vs Parseur: entry price and the cost of 1,000 documents

Parsio's cheapest paid plan is $29 a month for 100 credits and Parseur's is $49 a month for 100 pages, both billed monthly. Paid annually, Parsio's works out at $24 a month ($290 a year) and Parseur's at $39 a month ($468 a year). These figures were read on each pricing page on 3 October 2026.

The real difference is what a credit buys. Parseur counts one credit per page, whether a template or its AI engine does the work, and an email counts as one page. Parsio charges one credit for a templated document, two per page on its GPT parser and three per page on its AI parser. That makes the cheaper tool depend on your documents.

Parsio is cheaper on templated emails. On AI-parsed pages it depends on volume: in this table Parsio is cheaper at 300 invoices, and Parseur is cheaper at 1,000 and 3,000 pages.

One thing Parsio does that Parseur does not, and one the other way

Parsio: post-processing is included on every plan, even the free one. Parseur's pricing FAQ reserves post-processing for its Scale tier, which starts at 10,000 credits a month and $499 on monthly billing. If you need to reformat dates, merge fields or skip documents by rule on a small plan, that gap matters. Parsio also has a separate OCR converter that turns scans into Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML, Markdown or text files at one credit a page.

Parseur: it keeps documents far longer. Its base plans retain documents for one year and its larger plans without limit, against a maximum of 180 days on Parsio's Business plan. Parseur also sells one-off top-up credits when you hit your quota and lists Microsoft Power Automate among its integrations. Power Automate does not appear on Parsio's integrations page.

Who Parsio suits and who Parseur suits

Parsio suits a small business whose volume is mostly emails with a fixed layout, a team that wants several people in one account without buying a 10,000-page plan, and anyone who needs custom clean-up rules on a low budget.

Parseur suits a buyer who wants to predict the bill from a page count alone, a business that must keep source documents for a year or more inside the tool, and a Microsoft-centered office that automates with Power Automate. Parseur's FAQ also says existing customers keep their rate when list prices change.

If neither pattern fits, the wider field is in Parsio alternatives, and the choice between layouts and language models is covered in templates versus AI extraction.

Switching from Parseur to Parsio or back

Both tools use the same basic model: a mailbox with its own address, a set of fields, and an export. That keeps a move manageable, but templates and field instructions have to be recreated by hand. We did not find a migration tool on either site.

  • Recount your volume in the new unit. A three-page PDF is three Parseur credits. On Parsio it is six on the GPT parser or nine on the AI parser.
  • Rebuild one mailbox at a time and forward live documents to both tools for a week.
  • Rewrite any clean-up logic. Parsio's runs as Python on all plans. On Parseur it needs a Scale plan.
  • Download your history first. After you cancel, exports are the only copy you control.
  • Repoint the Google Sheets, Zapier or webhook step last. See how Parsio's integrations are set up.

Both vendors let you cancel at any time, effective at the end of the billing cycle. Parsio's terms state that payments are non-refundable. This comparison uses published pages only. Neither product was tested hands-on.
